Hi Paul, This must be why HRs were often called the "poor man's Mettlach". This is an HR model 422, made for HR by Merkelbach & Wick. Someone was so impressed with its quality that they tried to pass it off as a Mettlach. More HRs are found with phoney Mettlach marks than you might think. Even after WWII an old HR mold (model 419) was salvaged and used to produce a number of Mettlach fakes.
