Hi Jason. Unfortunately you are correct. For the most part, the steins produced after WWll were mass produced for the tourist/decorative market. The W. Germany mark means West/Western Germany which was the period from October 1949-October 1990. You might want to go back to the SCI Home Page and click on Library. Sroll all the way down to the two stein mark links and see if your Gerz mark is there. After WWll, Gerz used many, many different marks, so it's hard to nail down the precise period. All that means is that your stein has very modest value. You might check ebay for comps, but you stein is probably worth in the $10-$20 range. Dick
