Hi Ron. Thank you so much, for wanting to help me figure this out. The following photos are of this stein I recently acquired. The top of it has a fracture in it, which does not have any end to the slice. Like a run in a pair of stockings. I don't think it was dropped and broke, it appears it may have happened in a kiln or by being stored in a storage unit, which was not climate controlled. If you look at the crack from the inside, you can see light come thru. It also has a rather bad chip at the rim but it has not broken the lip. Let me know if you need any more information or photos. Again, I thank you. http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_Mark.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_Fracture.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_1.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_2.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_3.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_4.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_5.jpg http://www.dnabassethounds.com/BeerSTEIN/37inch_Gerz_5.jpg
