Hi, Bill. This signature is not terribly uncommon on steins from that era, although the artist, Theodor Otto Hahn, is not well known. The June 2004 Stein-of-the-Month article is about a stein he provided decoration for, although the signature is a variant from the one you describe. There is a little bit of information about him in the book "Das Münchner Kindl".
