Another point to make. It has a lid on it which is decorative and about 2.5 inches tall. Looking on the inside of the lide, there seems to be some machining as part of the manufacturing process (not cast). The lid is made of a silver metal. It looks like aluminum, but what do I know? The ceramic part of the stein is about 14 inches tall.
