Regimental Stein Question

I watched a particular regimental stein get significant bids from multiple people on ebay (6 bidders placed bids over $750 for a Bavarian Infantry stein). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6237555511&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I realize it has a screw off lid, a photo of the reservist under the lid, and some small zepplins and airships in the decoration, but what exactly is it that makes this stein worth $1,725?(I was thinking a bid in the $600 range would win it when I first saw it). It wasn't just two bidders bidding it up, so it isn't just a case of beauty is in the eye of the beholder - there is something I'm missing. Is it a rare regiment? Maybe the old piece of paper translating the German script to English, or maybe the large size of the photo under glass? I'm learning more and more about regimental steins, but occasionally, I ask myself, why? This is one of those times. Anyone who knows of a reason this stein is so valuable, I sure would like to know why. Thanks! John
