I have an etiquette question. As we all are, I am used to seeing steins that are overpriced, non-Mettlach steins marked as Mettlach, and sellers claiming rarity for average steins. Recently I saw the E. Bohne Sohne Devil character stein in an antique shop and asked for the price - I was told, "That's a rare stein - $1500" - !! I did not say anything, and after a short while left the shop. What bothers me the most is that someone might buy it when they could get one for less than half, maybe even a third of that price, with just a little patience and an auction catalogue! In any case, given the POSSIBILITY that this was just an ignorant mistake, is it advisable to say anything to the shop owner?
