Andrea, What would you do if the roles were reversed? If the dealer had a stein you wanted on sale for $100 and you knew it was worth $1500. Would you explain the real value and make a reasonable offer like $1200, or would you snatch it and brag to your friends what a good deal you got? Most of us would probably do the second one. Dealer has a right to charge anything. No knowledgeable collector would pay much over the market value, and a non-collector wouldn't pay that much unless it was worth it to him. -john
