Taking another look at the stein shown as stein-of-the-month, I understand your question a little better. This particular stein falls kind of in between being a cylindrical body decorated with relief versus a full-scall three-dimensional model. However, this stein falls into a group of other very simillar steins which taken together can only be termed character steins... in my interpretation.
