Lee, I went back and blew up the photo of the mark and I misidentified it. It is the mark of Zoeller & Born, which was founded in 1956. Their web site is at http://www.zoeller-born-bierkruege.de/ The Library section of this site has a book on marks and also one for German translations. However, I don't think the saying on your salt-glaze stein is in the translations. Ron
