Actually this stein is listed in THE BEER STEIN LIBRARY in the Steinzeugwerke Catalogue. In which it states "Steinzeugwerke was a marketing consortium formed in 1912 in an effort to contend with declining sales in pre-World War I Germany. The four principals in the company were Reinhold Hanke, Simon Peter Gerz, Reinhold Merkelbach and Walter Müller". What Coblenz has to do with it I am not sure, but my thought is that this may be a distributor. The catalogue has a black and white copy suggesting that this may be the first one found and may be of interest to a collector for that reason. I am sure the "Library would like a copy of the color photo to replace the old copy. The catalogue or "book value" places it at $75.00 to $100.00. Ron Skaggs
