I came upon this peuter stein at an estate sale. Here is a shot of it to see, just in case I am in error. From googling the inscription on the botton (which has a F&M and an N directly below it) I learned from your helpful site that it is a Felstein & Mainzer, a Neurenburg company that produced peuter steins first starting in 1886 and closed before WWI. It also went into ceramic steins being the creator of the Neurenburg tower line. Kuewwwwl! (And thanks for being here!) But the mystery is still not solved. Is it possible to get a translation on the lid done if I show you 4 shots of the words on the lid? I have a hard time figuring out which are i's r's and u's in this old style orthography to simply type it in for you. See shots below: (these are 400 pixel shots a piece so appologies in advance to the webmaster) I know the last word is "Kamraden", or friends, but the rest would be very interesting to know. More in another message.
