Your stein was manufactured by Steinzeugwerke which was a marketing consortium formed in 1912 in an effort to contend with declining sales in pre-World War I Germany. The four principals in the company were Reinhold Hanke, Simon Peter Gerz, Reinhold Merkelbach and Walter Müller. The consortium ceased business around 1921. The German text of “Trink nach alter deutscher Weise, lang noch diesen Steinkrug leer” translates to "Empty this stoneware stein according to the old German tradition." The stein has an approximate value in mint condition of $125 to $175.
