Matt, I didn't notice any of the replies stating which manufacturer made the stein. Frank believes most of the steins shown in his catalog were made by Hanke. Hanke is known to have marked his steins with the word "Germany" in a curved arc. That is what appears in the photos of your stein, so you had two ways of identifying it - the seller by doing a search on the number at The Beer Stein Library and the manufacturer by the way "Germany" is incised on the bottom of the stein.
