This is what has come to be called a "Regensburg" stein. However, Regensburg was only one of sixteen different factories that we know made this type of stein. The Germans called them "Gepresste Kaennchen" or pressed cans. Your stein was probably made about 1880 and has a value of about $150.00 in excellent condition.
