My husband and I bought this stein a few years ago at an antique shop. We simply liked the stein. We are not stein collectors. But I would like any information anyone can provide. I read that old steins with original paper labels are rare to find. Sadly, this stein has an original paper label which is clearly in bad shape. The stein has quite a bit of crazing in the glaze. There are no imprint marks in the bottom, just the label. The only other marks are inside the conical lid, those marks are a "D B G M" over a large "S" with an "R" above an "M" in the center of the "S". Photos can be viewed at this web address. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/nice.cope@prodigy.net/my_photos Sadly, it is very difficult to get a clear and close up photo of the label but perhaps the one there is enough to give me some idea of what it is that we have. Thank you in advance for any information.
