Interested to see what the experts say. I assume that those in these units had higher IQ's than most other units but not sure if this would predispose them to this type of stein which were cheaper than the typical regimental stein. I assume that the rich kids would be in the cavalry regiments but overall the most consistently impressive regimentals were naval and I assume some of these were farm kids seeing the world at the Kaiser's expense.
