Cyn, To bad your stein was damaged as it has a value of $550 to $750 in mint condition per the latest Mettlach Book. The etched steins with inlaid lids, like your stein, are quite collectable. There should be a two-digit number on the bottom that indicates the year manufactured (mine has 94 for 1894). The Library section has some articles on Mettlach. Ron
