Cyn, Kirsner's latest book indicates a quality repair of multiple broken pieces, but not in the body etching, will reduce the value 30% or more. He states that the repair of multiple cracks in handle will cost $80 to $140. Unrepaired or inadequately repaired pieces will have a larger reduction in value. Since we are talking a $150 or higher reduction in value for a quality repair, a buyer will need a further reduction in price of $80 to $140 to justify the repair. This is a nice stein and desireable due to the theme, but it is easy to obtain one in mint condition. I hope this helps you make a decision, but you do need to check with a quality firm for the actual cost and extent of the damage. A repair is probably more worthwhile to the collector than the seller, particularly if you are not sure of a quality repair firm. Ron
