Tough crowd! I think Dans question is legit and merely a question. Lets face it, to actively collect old steins it takes a good chunk of change, hence collectors are more likely to be older business owners & professionals. Look at the old issues of Prosit and you will see articles by MD's , dentists etc-people of affluence. But old steins are antiques and will always appeal to people on multiple levels-they have intrinsic value. There are no antique table or chair clubs-but these markets thrive nonetheless. Do not dispair-keep collecting!! I do believe the selection is shrinking and will contract even more once Ebay sales have redistributed all the "good" steins to various collectors throughtout the world. P.S.
