I have aquired a German beer stein that I am researching. I have found a few distinct markings that may help find the maker. The 0.5L mark resembles a Reinhold Hanke capacity mark. But, the Germany stamp on the bottom is not arched. It is however, stamped "GERMANY. 1427" (with the period after the "Y" in Germany. I have also noticed the steepled pewter lid made from a four part mold and finial, with a five ring hinge, and decorated thumblift I am unfamiliar with. I am still uncertain of the material of the mug itself (ie. stoneware, ceramic, pottery, etc.) I don't know if the Axe on the King of Diamonds, staff on the Jack of Clubs, or the Flower on the Queen of Hearts portray any significance? Any help in finding the maker and approximate date this stein was made would be much appreciated! Below are a few pictures I took. Thank you for your time.
