How can you tell if the interior of a stein has been resprayed? I bought a Mettlach stein on ebay item # 260024336316. The stein arrived today and I noticed three things: 1) the interior bottom has some bumps under the glaze that made me suspicious that it it had been resprayed. 2) There is a slight "raised" white area on the underside of the lid insert that looks like someone did a little touchup on that 3) On the exterior, behind the handle, the blue paint there does not quite match the rest of the stein. this stripe of mismatched paint extends from the top handle attachment to the bottom. I did not see any cracks or other imperfections although I examined closely. But I really don't know how to tell when an item has been repaired.
