Is this a stein? The hole in the top of te handle suggests a hinged lid, but it has a spout suggesting a pitcher. The other issue is the size. It appears to be 3 liters. The only thing I can find out about this stein is from the mark seen in one of the pics. I know Johann Maresch produced a lot of tobacco jars, figures, etc., but I can't find anything about any steins.
