I had not heard of the merger previous to your post. I'm not surprised. Is it because of eBay? I'm certain it is to a degree. There were fewer outlets for stein collectors before eBay. Is it in the collectors interest? Of course not! It is in interest of business. Fewer collectors, sputtering economic times... MAXIMIZE PROFIT.
