Sachsenglas (Saxony Glass) was founded in 1865 by Karl Gottleib Walther in Ottendorf, a small settlement north of Dresden, in Saxony. Their products were sometimes called "Kroneglas" (Crown glass), from the crown trademark which was used. At least 4 different trademarks were employed, although no dating information is known. The firm is still (in 1975) in existence.
