Craig, The markings you describe on the lid do not match the photo of the lid. The photo shows a soldier with shield and spear on a white horse. Three birds are in the background carrying keys or a letter. There is a phrase at the bottom that may be in Latin, T.S. vid.W. I don't see any bridge, river or stein. I don't know what you are looking for in answers, but I don't know how anybody can authenicate it for you. Ron
