Ron, Memory wasn't serving me very well. As soon as I took her out of the box, I knew I'd seen her on the link provided. The URL wouldn't connect to the server though, so I was unable to get any further info from there. If you follow from the library on this site, to the women characters on the link provided, she's the first one pictured. She and her fellow Munich Child(ren)were apparently made in 1900 by J. Reinemann for the tourist trade in several different sizes. She's made of milkstone or mudstone(?), I believe and is a 'pale face' instead of made-up. On one site, 'she' is actually listed among the 'Monks', which I believe to be erroneous. She's just too cute for that, although her hands are rather large. I guess they would have to be to be carrying such a large stein and all those radishes. Under the J. Reinemann name (all capital letters) is MUNCHEN. In the middle, stamped is what appears to be a backwards B. On the other side of the bottom, is GESCHZLICH and GESCHUTZT under that. The pewter thumb piece depicts two tall, domed clock towers. Using a magnifying glass, I was surprised to see the actually numbers on the clocks themselves. They both show the time to be 3:00. I've learned more and have much more than that to learn, but don't want to bore you with what you probably already know. One of the only questions remaining is value. Apparently collectors attempt to acquire the various sizes of a particular style. This one appears to be approximately 8 - 12 oz. The only site I found that offered this stein for sale blocked out the actual price unless you were a member. Any ideas? I'll give you guys a break for awhile but I'll be back with another stein. This one depicting a lone hunter, two dogs scaring up a buck, and a fox or a wolf peeking from a hiding place, all surrounded by woods with a castle in the background. It is simply stamped "Germany" (no quote marks) on the bottom but is signed at the rim with what looks like a 1L. underlined. Or it could be a T or a J L. underlined. Can't tell for sure. I'm going to have fun researching this, but any help or advice you could give would be much accepted and greatly appreciated. I enjoy hearing from you and look forward to it very much. Thank you for your time. Cindy
