Hi Cindy, To my eyes, that does appear to be a Thewalt mark on the base. However, perhaps more important is the fact that the bottom is marked Western Germany. That dates the stein as being after WWII and prior to German reunification. So you are looking at roughly 1949 - 1990 for the manufacturing date of that stein. Jerry
