Having said that it is not a 6 pointed star or double triangle, I just looked at Chris' unidentified mark "C22" - although I see no evidence of the second triangle on my photo of Michael's stein, the other characteristics appear very similar if not identical. That could also explain why the jug in my photo appears to be oriented in a different direction than what is depicted in Chris' images at C20 and L17 and also that the top of it extends above the triangle. Is the poor quality of the capacity marks shown in my photos indicative of an overall poor quality marking process that resulted in the second triangle not getting properly stamped? Do those other steins bearing the similar marks have a mold number with the same style and format - with the period at the end - as shown in my photos?
