I noticed a stein on ebay with a Mettlach mark on the bottom that is not a Mettlach. This same stein was on ebay about 10 years ago, and has found it's way back to the market. I sent this comment to the seller, we'll see if they change the listing (170783114951). Hello, Unfortunately, this is not a Mettlach stein. The bottom has been replaced/repaired in this stein and someone has impressed a partial Mettlach mark on the bottom. It is an old etched style stein that has been repaired (an antique, but a repaired antique). The etched dwarf scene is collectable in itself, but this shouldn't be presented as a Mettlach.
