Very unique stein...wondering if anyone recognizes the maker, or knows anything about these types of steins. My grandfather was in Germany during the WWII, and encountered steins like this and said he thought they were produced to be personal seat markers of the invited guests of Hitler , and designated where at the table the guest would sit. This stein bears Max Schmeling's name, the world weavy weight boxing champ at the time, and used by Hitler's propaganda machine. would apreciate any info and might consider selling it if there is interest.
