I have only recently become interested in Faience, and know little about these types of steins. I know that there are some originals and there were some "reproductions" made earlier in this century, but would like any information about how to tell apart earlier reproductions from more contemporary ones. One thing I have seen is a stamped hallmark on the lids and I don't know if that indicates older or if that was done to make a piece appear older than it is. Any other telltale signs? Thx, Ken
