I have an Hofbrauhaus 1/2L KGL stein that has the HB painted on and is not embossed. Is this earlier than the ones embossed? It seems like the steins made from 1910 to present date, have the HB embossed in the ceramic before the blue paint was added and the ones made prior were inked stamped and painted over before they were glazed. What would be the best book to purchase if you only collect Hofbrauhaus beer steins? Thanks!
