The only other reason that I can think of is that using 6/20 rather than 3/10 L. is that it might make the contents look like more than they really are. Sort of like pricing at $99.99 rather than $100.00 to give the psychological illusion that one is paying less. Manufacturers and deoorators of steins do make errors and convention is certainly one.
