I had owned 2 Mettlachs, the 2833B 1/3 Litre and a 171 1/4 litre. I sold them both and upgraded to a beautiful #24 with inlaid lid and the 1797 with a pewter lid. I am so pleased with both of them and now ive caught the fever. I intended to slowly gather a couple, enjoy them, then upgrade later when more funds became available but im already itching for another one. The craftsmanship and detail these steins were made by is unparralled and truly are "art" in its simplest form. Im hooked on a new hobby and look forward to these boarrds to broaden my insight.
