Melissa, Mettlach steins are one of the few steins that can be dated by year. If you have the tower mark, there should be two digits below and to the right of the form number. The two-digit 90 would be 1890 and 02 would be 1903. If the only mark is the Mecury mark and there isn't a two-digit number, the marking on the mark can tell you the year of manufacture too. Value is highly dependent upon condition. You can look at some past auction catalogs on the Links section of this site to get an idea of value. Ron
