A formula in The Mettlach Book shows how to calculate, approximately, the initial year of production of steins numbered between 1200 and 3200. According to this formula, production occured generally chronologically. Assuming that the formula cannot be used to determine the year of production of lower numbered steins, does anyone know if these numbers up to 1200 are still thought to represent the order of initial manufacture? Thanks
