Bill, I am not sure what a graduation stein is, but the first thing to do would be to look for your grandfather's name, the year 1910, the word Heidelberg, or even scenes of Heidelberg on the stein. If your grandfather was a member of a student association, what you are calling a graduation stein, could be a stein from his student association. Look for steins with a prominent coat of arms. (See the articles on student associations in this site's Reading Room for examples.) I would start there since these will be easy to spot in a group of steins. On these steins the date could be coded as WS or SS 10. Heidelberg university is officially called, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, some times designated Ruperto Carola. You might see the intials RC near the coded date. If you can narrow the selection down, post links to pictures of your candidates here and maybe we can help.
