Double box it. Also make sure you put some foam or bubble between lid & rim of stein. Wrap with packing foam in box slightly larger than stein. Seal that box then put that box in a larger box with foam wrapping around it. This way if it gets wacked, the impack will be limited to the outside box and first layer of packing and the inner box should be damage free.
