Gary, The correct mold number is 1081. I have no idea why 1051 appears by the handle. The stein was made by Mathias Girmscheid. There are numerous examples of designs copied from another manufacturer. Generally, you will see minor variations, probably as a means to avoid copyright laws. The same also goes for copies of famous paintings. Ron
