Thanks Ron, I actually speak German, so I understand the translation. The stein is mint condition except for a small ding in the pewter top. A little wear is to be expected after so many years. I personally want to keep it, I think it is interesting and the oldest stein/beer glass in my collection, but the wife wants it gone with the rest of my collection, but that won't happen! Thank you for your assistance and expertise, it is much appreciated, it has opened my eyes to the world of steins. Nadir
