I'm new to stein collecting and I recently purchased two steins. They are 2L earthenware, see a picture here http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=29qkv80&s=6. There is a stamp "Germany" on the bottom of both in Helvetica, I've found an H in one of the scenes, and the numbers 1168 on one stein as well. Both have earthenware lids and pewter hinges. Unfortunately, the previous owners took less care than I intend to and both the lids are damaged. I'm cleaning both carefully and may look into getting them professionally repaired if possible. At this time, I mostly want help identifying the steins, maker and approx. year if possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
