Barry, I’m afraid I can’t give you any exciting news about your small stein. The scenes are relief, and it’s a very common mass-produced Munich souvenir. The H on the bottom is part of the mark for the Eckhardt & Engler manufacturer in the town of Höhr, where many steins are made. The lid does show that it was made in the early 20th century, but I believe it isn’t the original lid for this stein. Look at photo 002 and see that it doesn’t exactly fit. Photos 003 and 004 show that the strap has been altered, not by the manufacturer. The thumblift is the Frauenkirche, a famous Munich church. When the stein was made? I don’t know, but it was after 1918 when E&E was founded and probably before the 1950s. Maybe someone can give you a closer date. I think you can see the photos if you cut and paste this in another tab. http://s1160.photobucket.com/albums/q492/BillG9434/
