Bill, I don't know if this is your stein or Barry's stein. As for the stein shown in your post, disregarding the lid, it looks post-WWI rather than pre-WWI. Keep in mind that RuG was struggling during the War, cobalt blue was not used on steins during WWI, it was difficult times in Germany in the 1920s and Germany wouldn't be exporting during the War years (hence no need to mark it as being made in Germany). Nobody can say when it was made, but circa 1930 would be a good approximation. Ron
