My father brought back two beer steins when he returned from Europe in 1946 after serving in the Army. They were handed down to me upon his passing in 1977. They are in great condition, no chips or breaks I can tell. The markings mean nothing to me but may be significant in identifying them to someone here. Both seem to have been personalized with engraved German text on the pewter lids. I would appreciate any identifying comments anyone might have as I know nothing about steins. I just know these look like authentic 19th century steins, not cheap imitations. I have posted high-resolution pictures at http://shopcrazy.com/steins.html to help in identifying these steins.
