Bill, that is a nice thumblift. Searching in the SCI old catalogs I believe your stein is a 1/4-liter made by J.W.Remy. The text on the front means "and malt" so I would guess it would begin by "Hopfen" (hops) and might end with "Gott erhalt's" (God preserve them). Am I right? I'd like for someone else to say about salt-glazed, I'm thinking maybe not. How much did you pay for the stein?
