Hello: I bought two 2 liter salt glazed German beer steins from an antique shop. I'm trying to find the manufacturer and history on them. There is a clover type mark on the bottom (not exactly a clover, but an insignia with four rounded sements). Only the word "Germany" is stamped along with the number 227 on one and I can't remember the number on the other. Both have a pewter lid with intricate metal lace work. Any idea of the manufacturer or age of these. They are really beautiful.
