Corie, The photo does not show a stein. Is this something that appears on the bottom of the stein? Reservistenkrüge (reservist steins date from 1890 to 1914. Therefore your stein would not be from 1870. The unit references you give are from a legitimate unit. Please post more photos for further assistance. Ron
