Generalfeldmarschall Prinz Albrecht von Preussen, 1837-1906, was appointed to that rank on 19 June 1888. The 73. Fusilier Regt. was named in his honor on 13 September 1888. Therefore the stein postdates the awarding of the honorary title. Photos of the stein decor to include the pewter work might provide an educated guess as to when the stein was made. Without the photos and based on your description it would seem that the stein was probably made in the 1890s. With no name and no service dates mentioned the stein could well have been an "off the shelf" purchase. John
