Thanks Walt. Your points are well taken. None of the sources available to me had that number. Given the history of some manufacturers acquiring and reproducing old models, I thought that perhaps this stein was a post-war factory product. Other than perhaps some reservist steins, hsa counterfeiting been a problem?
